AMERICANS AREN'T SOLD ON BUSINESSES USING AI IN ADVERTISING

Consumers aren't rejecting AI in advertising outright - they're drawing a sharp line at whose face and voice ends up in the ad. Most Americans accept AI for brainstorming and drafting, and just over half are fine with AI producing the final ad content itself. However, nearly two in three say using AI to create a person's likeness or voice crosses a line, even when a business discloses it. Young adults under 30 are the least forgiving group by far, with 66% viewing AI-made advertising negatively overall and 73% rejecting AI-generated people or voices specifically.

WIN REPORT: WHY ADDING AN EXTRA STEP TO A FUNNEL INCREASED ORDER VALUE BY 28%

Moving an upsell to its own step can increase order value without hurting conversion when it removes competing decisions from the main purchase page. A South American gift company moved add-ons from the bottom of its product pages to an interstitial page after customers selected a gift. The change increased revenue-per-order by 28% and had no impact on overall conversion. The test shows that funnel friction depends on context, and giving secondary offers their own moment can make them more visible without making the purchase harder.

CHATGPT DEFAULTS TO BRANDED SEARCH FOR "X BEST SOFTWARE" QUERIES

ChatGPT often starts product searches from a preselected set of brands it already associates with a category, making category eligibility more important than traditional SEO rankings. In one example, its first search for enterprise AI agent platforms already included Microsoft, Salesforce, Google, ServiceNow, IBM, and AWS before any neutral market scan. Challenger brands need repeated category association through owned content, comparison pages, third-party validation, analyst coverage, customer proof, and clear product messaging to enter these default vendor sets. Research suggests that appearing in ChatGPT's generated search query can be worth about 33 times more than simply being discoverable.

STOP MAKING THE CREATOR THE HERO: A TALENT AGENCY FOUNDER'S HYPE CHECK (51 MINUTE PODCAST)

Mega-influencers and celebrities still drive results, but brands often use them incorrectly. This podcast breaks down how to negotiate celebrity rates, when to use top-of-funnel versus bottom-of-funnel creators, and how whitelisting can turn creator content into a performance channel. It also covers why long-term creator partnerships aren't always the best approach and how brands can land major talent without paying traditional talent fees.

WHY TYLER SPEEGLE TREATS HIS CREATOR BUSINESS LIKE A MARKETER WOULD

Creator Tyler Speegle uses his marketing background to treat content like an A/B test, analyzing what drives views and iterating on it. He also turned repeated audience questions about his homemade seasonings into his own product line. The move gave him a new revenue stream while creating conflicts with competing sponsorships. He now uses content to drive product launches, including seasonal releases and a planned cookbook.

ANTHROPIC'S TEXT WATERMARKING PROVES AI COMPANIES DO NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT WRITING

Anthropic's new watermarking works by quietly changing which word Claude picks when two options seem equally good. It swaps in a hidden key instead of plain randomness, so the pattern stays invisible to readers but detectable later. The company treats that kind of choice as low stakes, the difference between grey and overcast. However, word choice for a human writer usually carries intent, mood, and context that a statistical model can't see. Anthropic says internal testing found no measurable drop in quality or creativity from the change. The bigger problem isn't the watermark itself. It's that a company building writing tools thinks words are interchangeable in the first place.
