RAMP REACHES $60B VALUATION AS IT PUSHES DEEPER INTO AI

Ramp raised $1.85 billion at a $60 billion valuation, up from $44 billion just four months earlier, as annualized revenue surpassed $2 billion and annualized purchase volume reached more than $275 billion. The company is expanding well beyond expense management into payments, accounting, procurement, and AI infrastructure, including model routing, token spend management, agentic cards, and Glass, positioning itself as a broader financial and AI operating platform.

STRIPE SAYS AGENTIC COMMERCE ACTIVITY WENT “VERTICAL” IN SEPTEMBER

Stripe President John Collison says agent-driven commerce on Stripe began accelerating sharply in September, suggesting AI agents are starting to move from product discovery into actual purchasing. He argues that computer use was a key unlock because agents can now navigate existing websites and complete purchases without native integrations, while payments companies still need to solve issues such as authorization, liability, and merchant acceptance.

WINNING THE RELAY RACE: LONG-RUNNING AGENTS IN HIGH-VALUE CUSTOMER JOURNEYS

The next major AI opportunity is “long-running agents” that own complex customer journeys across weeks or months, rather than completing isolated tasks. By maintaining context, coordinating sub-agents, and learning from each case, these systems could capture value that currently leaks across human handoffs and let vendors price against outcomes or revenue uplift, with go-to-market models ranging from software platforms to outsourced services to fully integrated AI-native businesses.

PATRICK COLLISON SAYS PRIVY HAS SCALED RAPIDLY INSIDE STRIPE

Patrick Collison says Privy has grown sharply since Stripe acquired it, with assets in wallets up about 25x, monthly active developers up 3x, revenue up 9x, and transaction volume approaching $25 billion per month. Stripe is now integrating Privy across Treasury, Link, and Connect while combining it with Bridge, fiat rails, cards, and stablecoins to build a programmable financial stack for both businesses and AI agents.

MASTERCARD AND BVNK LAUNCH GLOBAL MONEY PLATFORM FOR FIAT AND STABLECOINS

Mastercard and BVNK launched Global Money Platform, a single API that combines multi-currency fiat and stablecoin accounts, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards, and local bank payouts through Mastercard Move. The platform is designed to let banks, fintechs, and enterprises manage and embed global money movement from one infrastructure layer, with future support planned for agentic commerce and additional regulated forms of money such as tokenized deposits.

VISA DIRECT MOVES STABLECOIN-POWERED MONEY MOVEMENT FROM PILOT TO PRODUCTION

Visa is moving stablecoin capabilities in Visa Direct into commercial production, with Inyo Global becoming the first partner to enable businesses to prefund cross-border payouts using USDC in near real time. The launch lets fintechs, money transmitters, and payment companies use stablecoins for 24/7 liquidity and funding while still relying on Visa Direct's existing global payout network, marking a shift from stablecoin experimentation toward day-to-day payments infrastructure.
