Abstract mathematical forms transition from dense uncertainty into a clear geometric structure, representing AI-assisted progress on the quasi-Riemann hypothesis.

AI PROVED THE QUASI-RIEMANN HYPOTHESIS. WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

The quasi-Riemann hypothesis is a weaker version of the Riemann hypothesis, arguably the biggest open question in math. Resolving the Riemann hypothesis would enable mathematicians to better understand the nature of prime numbers. OpenAI's recently released proof for the quasi-Riemann hypothesis is the most significant AI-for-math achievement so far, by quite a margin. The vast majority of the consequences of resolving it already follow from solving the quasi-Riemann hypothesis.

INTRODUCING CLAIRIC, A NEW SYSTEM ONE CLASS OF EXTRACTION MODELS

Clairic can extract, compute, estimate, and forecast values from unstructured inputs. It is an 'extraction model', a new class of System One-style model that returns values directly extracted from the input, computed from it, or predicted beyond it. The model doesn't generate any tokens, so it can't produce a mistyped answer or hallucinate in the same way LLMs can. It can still make mistakes, but its outputs come with confidence scores to help users evaluate whether it is appropriate to trust the model or to take a second look.

CVE-2026-108082: SYMFONY REDOS. ONE REQUEST. SECONDS OF CPU

A crafted Cache-Control header triggers catastrophic regex backtracking in Symfony's HeaderUtils::split(). Symfony parses it on every request, before routing or authentication, and Laravel parses it three times. One request can consume up to 12.7 seconds of CPU, and four merged 8 KB headers can force timeouts. The flaw affects Symfony 4.1 through the October 2026 patches, including Laravel, Drupal, PrestaShop, and Shopware.

STRIPE LINK AGENT WALLET V0.27.5

Stripe released Link Agent Wallet v0.27.5 with two updates: expanded purchase-type coverage across hotels, flights, subscriptions, and recurring billing alongside standard ecommerce, and multi-currency support for hundreds of Stripe-supported currencies paired with geographic rollout to roughly six new markets beyond the US and Canada this month. The wallet abstracts card types, tokens, and payment protocols from agent code, letting agents submit spend requests without handling payment-type differentiation. The updates extend Link's reach from US-centric, single-purchase ecommerce to multi-leg travel, recurring billing, and cross-border transactions across a growing set of geographies.

THE $280M COST OF ONBOARDING RETAIL TO HYPERLIQUID

A study of nearly 400,000 wallets trading Hyperliquid perpetuals through six consumer apps found cumulative losses of $280M all-time, with $126M accruing since November 2025. Fees drove slightly more than half those recent losses: builder fees stacked on Hyperliquid's base rate push per-$100 order costs to 6.5-14.5 cents, and small accounts turning over their balance many times compound those costs fast. Invo users show the extreme: $12.4M deposited against $5.8B traded, and on BTC positions, fee drag alone exceeded net gains from closed trades. Retention is poor across all six apps: about half of each month's active traders are first-timers, and only one in seven new traders remains active three months later, meaning growth has come from continuous new-user acquisition rather than building a durable base.

STARTUP TAPS UNDERWATER VOLCANO AS ENERGY SOURCE IN “PROOF POINT” TEST

Endurance Energy, a Seattle-based startup, recently demonstrated the technical feasibility of using an active underwater volcano to generate electricity. The startup deployed a 3-ton prototype power plant at the Axial Seamount in the northeast Pacific Ocean in September and generated less than 10 seconds of net-positive electricity. The company's next trial run, planned for the winter of 2026 to 2027, will aim to sustain higher power generation. It is currently developing a 2-megawatt commercial generator for its first planned commercial deployment with the Kingdom of Tonga in 2027.
