The Dutch government has taken over Nexperia, a Chinese-owned semiconductor maker based in the Netherlands. It claims it invoked the 'Goods Availability Act' to prevent a situation in which the goods produced by the company would become unavailable in an emergency due to recent and acute signals of serious governance shortcomings and actions. Nexperia's daily operations will continue. The impact of the measures is not yet quantifiable.
