The attackers use the PyInstaller-based DripDropper to establish persistence through modified SSH configurations and cron jobs, while leveraging legitimate services like Dropbox and Cloudflare Tunnels for command-and-control communications.

ETH/BTC RATIO HITS 2025 HIGH AS ETFS AND TREASURIES SOAK SUPPLY

Ethereum has increased 70% since June 1 versus bitcoin's 9%, lifting the ETH/BTC ratio above 0.037 to a new yearly high. The rally largely stems from ~$9.4B of U.S. spot ETH ETF inflows and digital asset treasuries now holding over 2% of ETH supply, up from 0.2% two months ago. Together, ETFs and treasuries have absorbed 3.7% of circulating ETH, while leveraged demand via VolatilityShares' 2x Ether ETF has added 456,000 ETH-equivalent exposure.

COINBASE BETS ON THE RISE OF AI PAYMENTS FUELED BY DIGITAL DOLLARS

Coinbase recently held a Crypto x AI hackathon where about 100 engineers spent the weekend building payment infrastructure with real-world purpose. Developers at the hackathon were encouraged to integrate Coinbase's x402 open-source payment protocol, which is designed to let apps, bots, or machines charge and settle instantly in stablecoins, into their projects. Coinbase wants to build the back-end infrastructure of the AI economy. The US Congress recently passed the first US law regulating stablecoins, giving them a clear legal framework, allowing developers to take them more seriously.

A research team has used computer modeling to create a database of predicted chemical structures for the improved detection of designer drugs. The database could someday be a publicly available supplement to the current illicit drug mass-spectral databases.
