HYPERLIQUID SAYS PAYWARD TO BE FIRST CFTC-REGULATED HIP-3 DEPLOYER
Summary from the TLDR Crypto newsletter
Hyperliquid said it intends to make Payward the first CFTC-regulated deployer on its HIP-3 markets. The upgrade would let deployers restrict access through onchain allowlists, which could let regulated operators run US perpetual futures on Hyperliquid's infrastructure. Bitnomial, Payward's CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse, would be the deployer, and NinjaTrader Clearing would carry client accounts if approved. The functionality is live on testnet, and the deployment still needs regulatory approval. It is unclear how permissioning would work or whether it would include built-in KYC. Payward first announced the plan on September 16.
