CZ CONFIRMS BNB CHAIN NEW HIGH-SPEED PARALLEL L1

Binance founder CZ has confirmed BNB Chain is building a new EVM-compatible parallel Layer 1 that will run alongside BNB Smart Chain, connected through a native bridge with BNB serving as the gas, staking, and governance token. The chain targets high-frequency trading and real-time payments with 200-millisecond block times and 20-millisecond pre-confirmations. Planned features include native account abstraction and onchain privacy pools. An internal multi-validator devnet is already live, with public testnet targeted for late 2026 and mainnet for early 2027.
