WCAG 3: A DIFFERENT FUTURE FOR ACCESSIBILITY

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

WCAG 3, still a draft, is the first ground-up rebuild of the standard since 1999, proposing to replace binary pass/fail with a graded model where meeting core requirements is a floor. Bronze, silver, and gold levels would let organizations be recognized for going further. Accessibility laws point to WCAG, so the change must keep regulators able to adopt it.
