THE MAKING OF GRAND THEFT AUTO VI

GTA VI is expected to be one of the biggest entertainment releases in history when it comes out on November 19. Its immediate predecessor is the best-selling nonmobile game of all time. The game's release is causing other entertainment companies to delay products until next year because they know GTA VI will suck up the planet's attention for most of November. It will almost certainly be the most expensive video game ever created. This article looks at how Rockstar Games built what is expected to be the biggest video game blockbuster of all time.

28 MILES AND COUNTING: NASA'S PERSEVERANCE ROVER SETS A MARS DRIVING RECORD

NASA's Perseverance rover has now driven 28.1 miles on Mars' surface, surpassing the distance that Opportunity covered from 2004 to 2018. Perseverance landed on Mars in February 2021 and has been traveling in and around the Jezero Crater since. It was set to surpass the driving record back in August, but it came across some interesting rocks, so it dawdled for two months. Perseverance most likely still has many miles to go in the coming years. This article contains some of the highlights from its drive so far.

THINGS ARE FINALLY LOOKING UP FOR NASA'S FIRST MISSIONS TO VENUS IN A GENERATION

Two NASA missions are on track to launch to Venus in the early 2030s. The Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Noble gases, Chemistry, and Imaging (DAVINCI), which will send a parachute-assisted descent probe through Venus' atmosphere, is now scheduled for launch in December 2030. The Venus Emissivity, Radio science, InSAR, Topography, And Spectroscopy (VERITAS) mission will launch in November 2032 to map the Venusian surface by radar from orbit. The European Space Agency is building an orbiter for launch to Venus in 2032, and Rocket Lab plans to launch a privately funded probe as soon as next year to search for signs of organic material in the planet's clouds.
