TYPETYPE UNVEILS TT RATIONALIST TYPOGRAPHY

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

TypeType's updated TT Rationalist modernizes the slab serif with trapezoidal serifs, softer stroke contrast, humanist proportions, and curved details that make dense text feel less rigid and more comfortable to read. The family spans 22 styles, including ten upright weights, matching true italics, and two variable fonts, with 1,127 glyphs per style and 31 OpenType features. Support for more than 235 Latin- and Cyrillic-based languages makes the family flexible enough for everything from editorial layouts and cultural posters to apps, watch interfaces, and compact digital typography.
