AMAZON DYNAMODB NOW SUPPORTS REAL-TIME VECTOR SEARCH AT ANY SCALE

Amazon DynamoDB now supports native vector search, letting developers store vector embeddings alongside operational data and run similarity searches without copying data to a separate vector store. The feature supports up to 4,096 dimensions, Euclidean, Cosine, and Dot product distance functions, and returns up to 100 results per query with single-digit millisecond latency at 99% or higher recall. It is generally available in all commercial AWS regions, including the AWS GovCloud (US) regions.

LINKEDIN'S NEW ANTI-SLOP BUTTON IS COMING TO EVERY PLATFORM

LinkedIn has introduced a button letting users flag posts as "AI slop," aiming to help the platform refine detection models and improve feeds. The move follows a July study finding two-thirds of AI-flagged long-form posts across major platforms originated on LinkedIn, reflecting a wider industry struggle with automated content. Similar tools have emerged elsewhere, including Pinterest's AI content settings, TikTok's AI-content slider, and Substack's integration with detection service Pangram.

DESIGN ARENA CREATORS RAISE $7.9 MILLION TO BRING TASTE TO AI MODELS

Intelligence, maker of Design Arena, raised $7.9 million in seed funding led by Index Ventures, with Conviction, A*, and Valkyrie also participating. The platform lets users rank AI-generated designs and now serves 5.3 million users while generating $60 million in ARR by selling human feedback data to frontier AI labs. This crowdsourced evaluation model has mixed results industry-wide: Yupp shut down despite $33 million raised, while LM Arena secured $150 million at a $1.7 billion valuation in January.

NUCLEAR STARTUP OKLO SPLITS ITS FIRST ATOMS IN TEST REACTOR

Oklo's Groves Isotope Test Reactor has sustained a chain reaction. The reactor is a demonstration version of the technology Oklo plans to use for its new medical isotope business. The company also plans to expand into recycling nuclear waste, fabricating its own fuel, and producing medical isotopes. Oklo is preparing a site near the Idaho National Laboratory for its first small modular reactor but does not yet have permission to work on the reactor itself.

D-WAVE'S DUAL-RAIL QUBIT GATE HITS 99.9% FIDELITY, CUTTING ERROR-CORRECTION OVERHEAD

D-Wave published research in Nature demonstrating a new two-qubit entangling gate for its superconducting "dual-rail" qubit architecture, which is designed so the most common quantum errors are also the easiest kind to detect and fix. The gate hit roughly 99.9% fidelity with fast ~500 nanosecond operation times, while preserving native hardware-level error detection, meaning errors get caught directly by the qubit design rather than requiring extra correction circuitry bolted on afterward.
