JEFF BEZOS IN TALKS TO RAISE $100 BILLION FOR AI MANUFACTURING FUND

Jeff Bezos is in early talks to raise $100 billion for a new fund that would buy up manufacturing companies and use AI technology to accelerate their path to automation. The fund will aim to buy companies in major industrial sectors, including chipmaking, defense, and aerospace. Bezos is meeting up with some of the world's largest asset managers to raise funding for the project. He has traveled to the Middle East and Singapore to discuss the fund with investors.

HOW OPENAI CODEX WORKS

OpenAI's Codex coding agent uses an "agent loop" that iteratively constructs prompts, interacts with the model, and executes tool calls like running commands or tests until a task is complete. Managing the growing conversation history and layered context is done through prompt caching and context window compaction to maintain performance. To support various interfaces, from CLIs to IDEs, OpenAI developed a bidirectional App Server protocol that encapsulates the core agent logic.

THIS SEVERE AND INTERNATIONAL IPHONE HACK IS THE BEST REASON TO UPDATE TO IOS 26.3 YET

The "DarkSword" exploit chain, active since at least November 2025, chained six flaws across JavaScriptCore (CVE-2025-31277, CVE-2025-43529), dyld PAC bypass (CVE-2026-20700), WebContent sandbox escape (CVE-2025-14174), GPU sandbox escape (CVE-2025-43810), and a local privilege escalation (CVE-2025-43520) to achieve full kernel control on iOS 18.4 through 18.7 via a malicious Safari webpage. Multiple threat actors reused the same core chain across separate campaigns in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, and Ukraine, with delivery methods ranging from Snapchat-themed lures to compromised watering-hole sites, with PARS Defense linked to the Turkey and Malaysia activity. Apple patched all underlying flaws in stages through iOS 26.3 by February 11. Users should update immediately to close the fully patched chain.

TEMPO MAINNET GOES LIVE WITH MACHINE PAYMENTS PROTOCOL

Tempo Mainnet launched on March 18, providing high-throughput, instant-settlement payment infrastructure, paired with the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), co-authored by Stripe and Tempo as the protocol layer for programmatic agent-to-service payments. MPP defines a request-response flow in which an agent requests a resource, receives a payment challenge, authorizes payment, and receives delivery, with stablecoin support, card rails via Visa and Stripe, and Bitcoin Lightning via Lightspark, plus a Sessions primitive that lets agents pre-authorize recurring micropayments within defined spending limits. The protocol launched with a directory of 100+ services and institutional partners, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Visa, Mastercard, Shopify, and Revolut. Stripe users can begin accepting MPP payments through the existing PaymentIntents API, with MPP support sitting alongside x402 in Stripe's broader Agentic Commerce Suite. Stripe has submitted MPP to the IETF as an open internet standard, a move that positions the protocol as a candidate for standardized machine payment infrastructure across the broader web.

OPENAI PLANS LAUNCH OF DESKTOP ‘SUPERAPP' TO REFOCUS, SIMPLIFY USER EXPERIENCE

OpenAI plans to unify its ChatGPT app, Codex, and browser into a desktop superapp to simplify the user experience. The superapp will feature agentic AI capabilities that can work autonomously on users' computers to carry out a variety of tasks. Focusing on the superapp will enable OpenAI's teams to work closer together as it focuses its efforts around improving one central product.

DOGFIGHTING IN SPACE WON'T LOOK LIKE THE MOVIES, BUT THIS COMPANY WANTS IN ON IT

A startup called True Anomaly has created a war-ready satellite platform designed for mass production. The Jackal spacecraft is designed for agility and maneuverability and could be used for orbital combat. About the size of a refrigerator, the Jackal is essentially a flying fuel tank with room for thrusters and sensors that can rapidly turn, approach, and surveil other objects in orbit. True Anomaly seems well-positioned to win a contract for the Space Force's upcoming RG-XX program.
