The EU issued a public warning to X for failing to address illegal content and disinformation related to the recent attacks on Israel. Disinformation is not illegal in the EU. However, the EU’s Digital Services Act puts an obligation on X to mitigate risks attached to harmful falsehoods and to act diligently on reports of illegal content.
