CHATGPT 5.4 HAS HIDDEN FAN-OUT QUERIES. YOU CAN STILL GET THEM VIA THE API (PYTHON SCRIPT INCLUDED)

Summary from the TLDR Marketing newsletter

ChatGPT version 5.4 now hides fan-out queries in the conversation console. Tools that scraped these queries from conversation files or browser developer tools no longer work, but the fan-out queries still exist in the API for the GPT-5.4 model. A Python script can send a query through the OpenAI Responses API and extract the response data, citations, and fan-out queries. The script can also save the full response to JSON files for later analysis.
