Figma components with excessive props create a scrollable "configuration collapse" where too many visibility and layout options make components fragile and hard to maintain. Native Figma slots will replace many props with a composable design, allowing designers to build components through creative composition rather than endless switches and variants. This shift requires dropping complex props in favor of leaner component APIs that retain only essential behavioral properties, such as state, appearance, and size.
