USE YOUR TYPE SYSTEM

Summary from the TLDR Web Dev newsletter

Use distinct types for simple values like IDs, integers, and strings to prevent bugs caused by type mixing in code. This is shown with examples from a weather calculation library (libwx) written in Go, where custom types for temperature units prevent accidental misuse. Using the type system in this way reduces errors and improves code clarity.
