GOOGLE MESSAGES INTRODUCES 'DOUBLE TAP TO REACT' FEATURE THAT MAKES RESPONDING A LOT FASTER

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

Google Messages is introducing a new feature in its beta version that allows users to double-tap on a received message to send a quick thumbs-up reply. This feature simplifies responding to messages and removes the need to search for emojis. Long-pressing on a message will bring up options to copy, delete, or react with emojis. The feature is expected to roll out to all users soon.
