A competitive usability evaluation involves comparing a product against several competing designs. The comparison can be holistic, ranking the designs by some overall site-usability metrics, or more focused, comparing features, content, or design elements across sites. There are two methods of competitive usability evaluations: competitive reviews and competitive testing.
