REA

REA lets users ask an AI agent to investigate app features without source code, explaining how they work down to the native binary level. It includes tools for inspecting JavaScript and Electron apps, .NET assemblies, websites, and native binaries through Hopper, Ghidra, or IDA Pro. Analysis runs locally, and the tool supports agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot CLI.

THE SHIFT TO CGROUP V2 IN KUBERNETES: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Kubernetes v1.35 defaults to refusing kubelet startup on cgroup v1 nodes, making migration to cgroup v2 an operational upgrade concern. Teams should check kernel and runtime compatibility, align kubelet and runtime cgroup drivers, and update monitoring tools that read cgroup files directly.

HOW FAST IS PYTHON 3.15?

Informal CPU-bound benchmarks of Python 3.15.0rc3 show standard-interpreter performance largely unchanged from 3.14, while the experimental JIT runs roughly 20–28% faster than the standard 3.15 interpreter. Free-threaded builds deliver substantial gains in four-thread tests, but these results cover only Fibonacci and bubble-sort workloads rather than general application performance.

BUSINESSES ARE CHANGING AI MODEL PROVIDERS MORE OFTEN

The monthly share of firms switching providers, averaged over three months, reached a record 8% in September. Anthropic gained significant share in May last year following the launches of Opus 4 and Sonnet 4. Switching declined over the next year until OpenAI introduced price cuts and new model launches in June this year. The intense competition between the two companies could be an early sign that AI models are becoming commodities.

EVERYONE IS BUILDING THE SAME THING

AI startups are converging on the same agent loops, memory systems, connectors, and sandboxes. The comparison here is to web companies in 2005, when everyone needed a database and a login page. Sharing those parts didn't make the businesses interchangeable. The concern is that founders are pitching basic infrastructure as their advantage while saying little about the customer problem they've figured out. Customer references and the team's knowledge of its industry may tell you more than which model or memory system they've chosen.

PLATFORMS ARE (STILL) THE BEST BUSINESSES

Businesses that perform strongly in profitability, scalability, and defensibility generate substantial profits relative to the capital they require. They grow with limited incremental effort or additional capital, and can sustain success over long periods. Platforms, businesses that enable direct interactions between customers, come closer to this Platonic ideal than any other type of business. Network effects and asset-light cost structures allow successful platforms to generate exceptional returns on invested capital.

GTM IN GIT

Put as much of your GTM operations into git so agents can reason over them, test, and scale. Give agents the context and tools to understand the system, investigate a problem, and help implement a change. Agents make analysis easier to produce, so business context and tools need to work across interfaces, with evals to check that answers remain consistent. Every GTM operator needs reliable data, research, and an environment to make decisions quickly. Do as much GTM operating work as possible with coding agents, and keep the logical brain in git.

HOW TO HIRE IN THE AGE OF AI

While everyone agrees that AI requires rethinking which knowledge and skills signal quality in a new hire, there's little consensus on what those are. The stakes are highest for early-stage companies where new hires matter most. This post approaches the problem by running an experiment to see what makes the most sense for gauging a candidate's quality.

WHAT DO YOU DO THE WEEK A COMPETITOR RAISES MILLIONS?

A competitor raises millions, and suddenly you're considering a new round or copying features you'd ignored last week. Before changing either plan, look at what the money commits them to spending and how much growth they'll need to justify it. One founder in this piece calmed down after comparing their monthly burn with his own. Its review of ten AI categories found the best-funded company led three, with two already ahead before raising the most.

INFERENCE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MARKET IN SOFTWARE

AI inference is projected to become a $350 billion market by 2027, doubling the size of the database market. This shift leads to higher usage costs, reduced gross margins below typical SaaS levels, and makes infrastructure a key component of COGS. Businesses will need to adapt by optimizing efficiencies and could see innovation opportunities arise from these evolving dynamics.

WILL AGENTS HAVE NETWORK EFFECTS?

If my agent can email yours, why do we need to use the same product? That gives assistants a different problem from social networks, where everyone benefits from joining the same service. Network effects could still come from what agents create and share. An event website can bring in new users, and a shared reputation system could help agents find a trustworthy seller or a candidate who isn't publicly job hunting. That reputation system could belong to one assistant, or become a separate service that every assistant can access.

Each pod is a complete AI inference data center in a 20 ft shipping container [6], trucked in and live in days: * Up to 1,200 GPUs and 1 MW of compute, any GPU architecture * Closed-loop liquid cooling on every GPU: 1.5 m³ of water, recirculated, none consumed * Europe is live, US rollout underway Capacity is filling up. SPACEX SEEKS $40B APOLLO-LED DEBT FINANCING TO BUY NVIDIA CHIPS

The FT reports SpaceX is raising about $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade debt to fund an Nvidia chip order, with Apollo leading and helping sell the debt to a broad investor base, and bond fund Pimco among lenders in talks. The deal is expected to close in 2027. It fits the pattern Nvidia flagged in August, when it disclosed its own SpaceX stake and a $500 billion Wall Street financing push, with chip purchases increasingly funded by debt and equity ties to the buyer. Reuters could not independently verify the report, and SpaceX, Apollo, Nvidia, and Pimco haven't commented.

SYNOPSYS AND OPENAI TEAM UP ON GPT-SYNOPSYS, A FRONTIER MODEL THAT RUNS EDA TOOLS LIKE AN ENGINEER

GPT-Synopsys is an OpenAI frontier model trained and tuned to operate Synopsys' EDA tools directly, covering PPA optimization, timing closure, and verification. Engineers hand it an objective, and agents run the tools, interpret the results, make changes, and loop until there's a verified outcome to review. It runs on OpenAI-hosted infrastructure and plugs into Synopsys.ai and the Autopilot agentic platform. OpenAI licenses Synopsys' tools to train the model, paying a training subscription fee, and the two companies then share revenue based on how well the model improves chip designs, an unusual structure that ties both to the results. Synopsys says customer design data stays protected and won't be used to train the frontier model, and the bundled service covers compute, the model, and EDA licenses.

CITRIX NETSCALER SECURITY SNAFUS GET EVEN WORSE AMID MORE 0-DAY REPORTS

Apply Citrix's fixed build or interim mitigation, starting with Gateway and AAA virtual servers that have SAML enabled, and run Citrix's IOC script while treating a clean result as inconclusive.

CVE-2026-19444: HOW COPYING IN KUBECTL BREAKS TRUST

A malicious container can write files anywhere a Windows user's account can reach, including the Startup folder, when that user runs kubectl cp against it (CVE-2026-19444, CVSS 6.5). kubectl cp unpacks the output of whatever tar binary the container ships, and the entry-path check added after three 2019 CVEs never accounted for Windows path separators. Windows clients need kubectl v1.36.5, v1.35.9, or v1.34.12, since the flaw is in client-side extraction and the cluster version does not matter.
