Showing users the cost or remaining capacity of each AI prompt can lead to more intentional usage and better outcomes. Researchers analyzed 1.8M+ prompts from 61,000+ users and found that users spent 5% more time refining prompts and 8% less time generating duplicate image variants when usage costs were visible. AI products should make consumption easier to understand by showing prompt costs, token usage, or remaining prompts instead of abstract quotas. Teams using AI should also expose usage limits so employees make more deliberate choices about when and how they prompt.

The company took six to seven years to ship, picked a category with very little new innovation, and spent most of that time on problems that don't demo well. This post looks at seven core lessons learned from Matic's journey so far.

2026.09.01·links.tldrnewsletter.com·2 min read·TLDR Crypto A researcher has published a point-by-point defense of their Poseidon2b hash function implementation for potential use in Ethereum, asserting it holds against the recently published "Skipping Class" algebraic attack. The paper's exploit targets state widths t=12-24 using a tensor MDS construction. The production instance runs t=4 with a complete external MDS layer, placing it outside the attack's scope. The best published cryptanalysis of the specific parameters (GF(2^128), x^7 S-box, 8 external/58 internal rounds) projects attack work at approximately 2^410, well above the 128-bit security target. The researcher backs the claim with pinned source code and executable audits, inviting targeted cryptanalysis of the exact configuration rather than generalized arguments about Poseidon as a family.
Techtree is a controlled evaluation platform from Regents Labs that isolates a single variable (the Skill) across a fixed model, harness, runtime, tools, and budget to produce evidence of whether an agent improvement is real. Each evaluation run outputs a signed, participant-attested proof bundle verifiable offline, solving the trust problem of accepting another agent's benchmark results without rerunning the eval. The v0.2 roadmap introduces "Environment Forge" to convert source evidence (chat logs, traces, and repositories) into qualified verifier environments, with later versions gating receipt access behind x402 payments and feeding forged environments into RL training via prime-rl. The longer-term plan opens improvement markets for Skill Climbs and Harness Climbs with onchain reputation for authors, building credibility rails for agent skill development and deployment.

B20's multiplier system handles corporate actions by updating a single onchain value rather than rewriting ERC-20 balances, keeping AMM pool reserves unchanged during stock splits and dividends and preserving DeFi liquidity. A shared Policy Registry propagates compliance updates such as sanctions blocklists to every asset referencing it, and administrators holding the seize role can move tokens from flagged addresses to authorized destinations with onchain memos recorded atomically. The launch generated $10.8M in 24-hour volume and $3.06M in DEX liquidity across ~50 protocols including Aave, Morpho, and Aerodrome, as the tokenized public equities sector reaches $2.48B total with Ondo leading at $872.7M.

The firm has begun selling modest BTC quantities to fund preferred dividends and share buybacks, a departure from its longstanding "never sell" policy, while also raising $334 million via MSTR stock sales to preserve reserves. Saylor's Sunday post of a chart captioned "We're Back" has renewed speculation about an imminent purchase announcement, consistent with his pattern of social media signals preceding Monday morning buys. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's inflation-driven rate-hike comments pulled Bitcoin to $76,877 by Friday, keeping Strategy's unrealized gain thin relative to the asset's October peak near $126,000.
MEV-X researchers and HSE University collaborators introduce "dislocation value," the total extractable profit when an AMM pool price diverges from the market, and demonstrate that any fee levied on arbitrage trades reduces total value capture across all six tested architectures, including Uniswap V2/V3, Balancer, and Curve. Pools optimizing fee revenue independently capture roughly 50% of maximum dislocation value, with the remainder split between external arbitrageurs and unrealized losses. At the standard 0.30% fee tier, pool capture falls to 42% on a 1% dislocation scenario. The proposed fix is AMM hooks that execute atomic internal arbitrage post-swap, letting pools charge zero on rebalancing operations while retaining normal retail fees and eliminating external searcher profit. This architecture converts liquidity providers into active arbitrageurs at the protocol level, redirecting the value leakage currently flowing to external searchers back to the pool.
