Shuffle-sharding is a low-cost way to reduce noisy-neighbor blast radius in multitenant systems by assigning tenants to overlapping subsets of workers rather than fixed shards. The technique lowers the chance tenants share identical resources without extra hardware. It requires tolerance for partial degradation and, for ordered workloads, consistent hashing by resource.
AI labs like OpenAI and Anthropic could soon become “machine organizations” where AI replaces researchers, managers, and executives while human support staff remain. Such a shift would leave customers and investors largely unaffected short-term but would undermine government oversight and shift power from employees to models, potentially enabling models to dictate terms.
Software teams can achieve autonomous product development by giving AI agents broad but guarded access to context and moving them to the cloud for event-triggered work.
For (at least) the last two years, marketers have been told to optimize for AI: lead with answers, add FAQs, eliminate the adjectives.
But when machine readability comes at the expense of voice, insight, and originality, the result may be easy to parse, and easy to ignore.
Write for Humans, Not AI [5]is Markup AI's framework for B2B marketing teams using AI to scale content production without losing what makes their brand worth reading. Learn where AI belongs in the content process, where human judgment matters most, and how to check whether a piece is genuinely ready to publish.
Reach and impressions show who saw a campaign, not what they remember. 47% of industry leaders say experiential marketing's value comes from long-term brand memory. Emotional intensity and physical presence can help brands cut through crowded digital feeds. The strongest activations create stories people keep talking about rather than generating a short-lived spike in attention. Brands are increasingly using physical experiences to turn campaigns into lasting cultural moments.
Teens use Pinterest more intentionally than traditional social platforms. Re-Pins per user are up 64%, searches are up 44%, and board organization is up 68%. More than 77% proactively search to explore interests, while teens use feed and settings controls nearly 2X more than other age groups. Pinterest is positioning itself around inspiration and identity exploration rather than social performance, with art searches 1.26X higher among teens.
A growth engineering intern at Browserbase built an AI engine to automate its SEO and AEO workflow. 53% of search traffic came from just five posts, while only 17 of 77 posts had been cited by AI engines. BlogEO audits existing content, finds search opportunities, generates drafts, and tracks AI citations. Human approval remains in the loop. After 6 weeks, search impressions grew 5.8X, page-one queries grew 9.8X, and average blog position improved from 10.9 to 6.6.
Lovable treats free AI product usage as acquisition spend rather than a margin drain, measured against a 3-month payback threshold weighing conversion, retention, and expansion. That framing matters more now that AI has pushed gross margins from the SaaS era's 80-90% toward 40% or less, leading many companies to gate AI functionality behind paywalls instead of letting users experience it first. Free-to-paid conversion for Lovable runs 5-10%, and partner-driven giveaways with a strong audience match can convert at 40-60%. The realistic alternative to giving the product away is spending far more to acquire the same customers through paid channels, not keeping the money.
This webinar, on September 23, will explore why AI coding agents produce inconsistent work even with more tools and context. It will explain why bigger context windows, RAG, and additional rules don't fully solve the problem. It will also cover how context engines can improve output while reducing token costs and review cycles. There will be a live demo that compares agent performance with and without organizational context.
Google can now generate a calculator, converter, or other interactive tool directly inside AI Overviews and AI Mode, expanded globally in English this August. Small utility sites built around one simple public formula, one input and one output, are the easiest target for a model to assemble on the spot.
An account reporting an 11x return on ad spend was losing money on every order once returns, VAT, cost of goods, and fulfillment came out of what the platform called conversion value. Much of that 11x came from brand campaigns near 18x, largely shoppers who had already decided to buy, blended with a real nonbrand return closer to 3x. Correcting for margin alone created a second problem, since bidding purely for efficiency starved an apparel SKU of volume, leaving more stock to mark down below cost at season's end. The fix was rebuilding conversion values around actual contribution and giving each SKU one deliberate job, for profit, for volume, or for cash back before the season closed.
The aftermarket can become a major source of value around durable products and platforms, so platform owners must decide whether to coexist, fight, license, or buy the businesses that emerge around them. AMG shows how licensing and acquisition can bring a successful modifier inside the brand, while Rolex's service restrictions show that fighting can leave substantial margin and customer demand to independent players. In software, platform owners control whether an aftermarket can legally form through decisions about open source, licensing, and developer tools, which helped create businesses like Counter Strike, Red Hat, and Cursor.
Dashboards make marketing easier to measure, but they can also hide the work that actually drives growth. Teams may optimize for traffic or output while overlooking customer knowledge and relationship-building. These efforts are harder to quantify but can have a bigger long-term impact. Treat metrics as incomplete maps and question what each dashboard leaves out. Regularly compare the data with what customers and teams are seeing firsthand.
Not on purpose! But stages are always optimistic and close dates go stale. People are busy...
Lightfield [5] is the agentic CRM that builds the record from the conversations themselves, capturing every email, call, and meeting as it happens. So the questions your CRM could never answer, this one can.
OpenAI appears to be implementing a new feature that helps ChatGPT write in users' voices by referencing examples from their connected apps. Some users have had the feature for weeks, but the company has yet to officially announce the tool. OpenAI often tests new ideas with select users ahead of launch. The article includes a screenshot of the feature interface.
ByteDance is preparing to launch a real-time spatial video AI model. The model will be able to create interactive virtual worlds. It will also be able to generate virtual worlds that respond to Pico VR headset users' voices and movements. ByteDance is planning a launch as soon as next month.
Rentosertib is a drug created with the assistance of AI. The AI originally indicated that the drug could help treat patients suffering from a chronic lung disease, but data from clinical trials show it could also slow the aging process. The drug reduced the biological markers of age as measured by six 'aging clocks', a different kind of AI technology designed to predict a person's morbidity and mortality. While the drug shows promise, it is still years away from regulatory approval, even for use in sick patients.
XPeng has started production for its IRON robot. Its production line runs with more than 80% of its core processes automated. The company's robot went viral last year as its walk was so smooth that people accused XPeng of hiding a person in a costume. XPeng is targeting mass production by the end of the year.
What are your AI agents doing? What do they have access to? Teleport gives you answers and helps you set boundaries to contain and control them. Monitor and audit agent behavior to better understand the risks related to AI in your environment.
It's easier than ever to hit a particular quality bar by having coding agents use effective test techniques. However, software quality seems to be getting worse. This indicates that whatever defaults developers are using might not work very well. This study tests whether simple instructions to agents to use particular techniques or libraries improve implementation correctness. It found that agents tend to either just write the tests they would normally write, but inside a framework for a different type of test technique, or they'll use a technique superficially but not really do the things that get the value out of the technique.
Over the next few years, offensive capability will become abundant. More people will be able to inspect every valuable project and exploit vulnerabilities. Handling critical bugs in a timely manner will become the most challenging and important task for defenders. Having good security infrastructure and integration will be a must. AI-assisted formalization will lower some of the cost, but writing the right specification and connecting proofs to production code will remain challenging.
TLDR is hiring its first PM to help build the agent-first operating layer used across the company. We're looking for a builder who has shipped real products/systems with LLMs. Click here to learn more [16].
The monotony of work can make it hard to keep a clear head. Spend your vacations doing something different for your brain. Slow down and double down on new habits you want to grow. Spend time in nature, socialize, play games, engage with hobbies, and you'll notice you might start being less intellectually lazy during your day-to-day activities.
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), as the term is commonly used, points to nothing really tangible or concrete and points us at the wrong thing. Recent announcements about AGI are just companies saying they've nearly arrived at a destination they defined themselves. Instead of trying to define AGI, the industry should focus on making a long series of specific things reliable enough to trust, and let the destination take care of itself.

Anthropic has secured $517 billion in compute capacity leases over the past 11 months, amounting to 14.8GW, primarily with Google and AWS. This expansion includes large deals with cloud providers like Akamai and Fluidstack and a $45bn agreement with Nscale. The company confidentially filed for an IPO with the SEC in June.
OpenAI plans to introduce Managed Agents at DevDay 2026, following a model similar to Anthropic's offerings, targeting businesses and developers. The new agents aim to integrate advanced models with superior computer-use capabilities at competitive price points to attract users. Additionally, they will offer functionality that enhances advertising through interactive agents, potentially challenging major players like Meta and Google.
Google's TPUv7 Ironwood delivers up to 50% better performance per dollar compared to Nvidia's B200/B300 chips. Ironwood is the first generation in which Google is competing for others' inference workloads with chips that can be purchased outright or rented through its own cloud. Google has decades of software engineering experience, so external TPU software should mature rapidly. This article takes a look at the TPU system and discusses the steps needed to make the stack widely available.
Prompt injections hidden in tool results can evade conventional safeguards because input and action screens inspect separate moments of an agent loop. The proposed signal is a “precedent gap,” where an agent suddenly makes a tool call or uses arguments absent from its execution history.
Automated AI text detection is currently an underserved niche. Pangram does an excellent job, but it is still more a tool to confirm suspicion. This developer wanted a tool that runs in the background and automatically scans sites so they can avoid AI-generated text in the first place. This post details how they developed Deckard, a Chrome extension that uses a locally-run model to mark AI-generated text.
Two builds with the same provider, model family, metric identifier, unit, and benchmark name can score differently. The difference is the runners, graders, and dataset splits. The shared mmlu label identifies a dataset family, not a full measurement procedure.
If your AI is writing nonsensical followups and misattributing customer quotes, you might want to double-check your transcript... or use the Wispr Flow Notetaker [15] and get meeting transcripts you can trust. Names, people, technical terms - with the accuracy you expect
