GTA VI is expected to be one of the biggest entertainment releases in history when it comes out on November 19. Its immediate predecessor is the best-selling nonmobile game of all time. The game's release is causing other entertainment companies to delay products until next year because they know GTA VI will suck up the planet's attention for most of November. It will almost certainly be the most expensive video game ever created. This article looks at how Rockstar Games built what is expected to be the biggest video game blockbuster of all time.
Anthropic told investors recently that the company's revenue for the third quarter jumped about 45% from the prior quarter to $16.8 billion. The AI lab is currently pursuing what may become the largest-ever initial public offering. Its IPO could value the company at $2 trillion. The San Francisco company is expected to begin trading as early as next month. A successful launch from Anthropic could reopen the door for other listings and provide a vote of confidence for the industry.
NASA's Perseverance rover has now driven 28.1 miles on Mars' surface, surpassing the distance that Opportunity covered from 2004 to 2018. Perseverance landed on Mars in February 2021 and has been traveling in and around the Jezero Crater since. It was set to surpass the driving record back in August, but it came across some interesting rocks, so it dawdled for two months. Perseverance most likely still has many miles to go in the coming years. This article contains some of the highlights from its drive so far.
Two NASA missions are on track to launch to Venus in the early 2030s. The Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Noble gases, Chemistry, and Imaging (DAVINCI), which will send a parachute-assisted descent probe through Venus' atmosphere, is now scheduled for launch in December 2030. The Venus Emissivity, Radio science, InSAR, Topography, And Spectroscopy (VERITAS) mission will launch in November 2032 to map the Venusian surface by radar from orbit. The European Space Agency is building an orbiter for launch to Venus in 2032, and Rocket Lab plans to launch a privately funded probe as soon as next year to search for signs of organic material in the planet's clouds.
99% of product teams have fully integrated AI into at least one workflow. As AI becomes part of everyday work, it's expanding what PMs, designers, and engineers can do and changing how they work together. Atlassian's _State of Product 2027_ [12] explores what comes after adoption, from broader roles to harder choices about where teams should focus.
Being able to tell clean code from messy code is still useful, but it's becoming something that tools can help with. Knowing what shape a program should have before anyone writes it is something AI still can't do yet. The best way to get better at AI coding might be to spend more time thinking about problems and less time thinking about prompts. The programmers that get the most out of these tools already knew what they wanted.
Giving AI agents a way to independently verify their work heavily improves the quality of output. Write end-to-end tests that simulate real user flows and act as the ground truth. Use property-based testing to specify what should never happen and generate thousands of test cases that attempt to break those constraints. Require tests to run quickly and deterministically so that agents retry when the loop is slow or unreliable.
TLDR is hiring a senior engineer to build the agent-first operating layer used across the company. We're looking for a builder who has taken an LLM agent to production and still owns it. Click here to learn more [16].
OpenAI narrowed Anthropic's lead in business AI adoption in September. Today, more than half of businesses pay for AI, and many of them pay for multiple models. The growth in new AI customers has slowed down significantly. Growth in the market will now have to come from more intense adoption rather than more customers.
The work that Silicon Valley's AI labs are doing could reshape entire economies, create vast fortunes, dominate future warfare, and potentially alter the geopolitical power balance. This makes the industry ripe for espionage. While the companies have been on guard against the threat, there's no such thing as a perfect defense. This article explores the different ways corporate espionage is happening in the AI industry.
Google has been in discussions with publishers in recent months about developing an audiobook feature that will likely be bundled with its ad-free YouTube Premium service.

SpaceX plans to perform as many as 456 launches and 912 landings at its Texas facility each year. The company's CEO, Elon Musk, has been open about the company's intent to launch Starship as rapidly as possible in the future. He has claimed that, in less than a decade, SpaceX will be able to launch Starship more than once every hour. SpaceX recently announced plans to invest as much as $100 billion to build a massive launch site in southern Louisiana to support rapid Starship launches.
Science Corporation's vision-restoring chip, PRIMA, is commercially available in Europe for patients who have lost their sight to an advanced form of age-related macular degeneration, but the company believes its approach can be applied to multiple diseases. It recently implanted the chip in a patient with Stargardt disease, an inherited eye disease that gradually destroys central vision. The company's work with PRIMA is part of a broader pursuit of a novel brain-computer interface. It envisions a future where BCIs expand into a wide range of medical technology applications rather than just being used to control computers.
Span [13] is the engineering intelligence platform that tracks AI code from prompt to prod. It connects coding agent sessions to tickets, PRs, and prod outcomes to give you the evidence you need to measure returns and pinpoint areas for improvement.
Anthropic was being bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human scale, so it built an in-house version control system called Scion to support its next stage of growth, and fully migrated its monorepo from git in five months. It also built and shipped a code review surface, code search, a rich source control IAM system, novel ways of managing and landing large amounts of reviewed code, and more, all in that same time period. Anthropic averaged about 2,500 code changes merged per day in May. It now merges over 30,000 per day, and the rate of growth isn't expected to slow down anytime soon.
There are four types of ambition. Speed gets the same work done in less time. Altitude involves going up in abstraction and considering the outcome rather than the individual task. Depth considers a task the way a field-leading expert would, going one level deeper and touching the underlying data, tools, and problems. Range draws on multiple fields rather than just the one the task might need at the surface using knowledge, tools, and techniques you normally wouldn't.
OpenAI discovered a hidden recording device in one of its offices recently. It was traced to Abdulrahman Alfozan, a Saudi Arabian national who joined the company's product team in July 2025 as an engineer. He was arrested by the FBI. The device was built to evade detection and used advanced encryption. It could monitor audio and had a way to transfer data without being noticed.
Blue-collar workers typically do the hands-on labor of making or fixing stuff. Software developers have tried to separate themselves from this category, but they also make or fix stuff, just in bits rather than atoms. Just like electricians or carpenters, software developers must spend years practicing their craft in order to become skilled and sought-after. Just like anyone else in a skilled trade, software engineers can be outpaced by technology.
WhiteFiber's new technical whitepaper breaks down the full four-layer architecture behind Continuum, validated at 136 Tbps of bandwidth and 0.9ms latency, built with DriveNets, WEKA, NVIDIA, HPE, Ribbon, and Zayo.

Meta says Muse Wonder is its most aligned model yet.
Microsoft's newest iteration of its Maia chips will start rolling out next year. The Maia 300 is designed to handle inference. Microsoft expects to stock multiple gigawatts of the chips at its server farms. The Maia 300 delivers 40% more tokens per megawatt than leading GPU-based systems. Microsoft isn't currently planning to rent the underlying computing power of Maia chips directly to its cloud customers.
Amazon already has more than a million robots working in its warehouses, and it is poised to significantly grow that robotic fleet in the coming years. Amazon is also the second largest corporate employer in the world. The company's executives say the growing robot fleet has eased the burden on its human workforce, but labor advocacy groups and independent researchers say the warehouse automation is not all upside for the humans working alongside robots. It can get complicated when humans are expected to keep pace with their robotic counterparts.
Research suggests that human thought is not purely linguistic. More brain regions light up than just the areas associated with language when we are thinking. Language may be how we communicate about the world, but our thoughts seem to draw on many other areas outside of the brain's language networks. AI's ability to translate effectively means that it can understand, in some sense.
