FOR AGENTS, YOUR API IS YOUR PRODUCT

The first question buyers are asking today is "can my agent run this." Are your APIs AI-ready? Restless [5] gives agents the tools to create, debug and run smoothly on your API. It handles everything you need to make you agent-ready: >> AGENTIC API PORTAL [6]: API Documentation is for reading, Restless is for building >> AGENT RECOVERY: Keep agents moving forward by putting docs where they can see: right in the API response >> FULL API LOGS: Watch customers build on you in real time, call by call

SAY YOU'RE PRE REVENUE

Report a number, and people will evaluate it. Stay pre-revenue, and nobody can do the arithmetic on you. You get priced on what you might eventually be worth instead of what you actually earned.

ONE YEAR AS A SOLOPRENEUR

Growth Unhinged is about to pass $1M in annual revenue as a one person business, and its author published the books. More than 88,000 subscribers and roughly 700 premium ones support it with zero employees. That's rare. Most of the money is brand partnerships at 55% and consulting at 25%, with subscriptions at 10-15% and speaking at 5-10%. The fastest moving line in the acquisition mix is ChatGPT and Claude referrals, up from 6% of new subscribers in February to 15.6% in August, while 940 paid beehiiv recommendations cost $1.96 each.

Deep Research can analyze organizational data and the web and synthesize its findings into a report with citations.

UNDERSTANDING CHATGPT WORK

ChatGPT Work is actually two products: Work Cloud runs in the cloud, while Work Local, the app that used to be called Codex, is more like a regular Codex re-skinned to be less intimidating to non-software developers. ChatGPT Work is currently available only to $20/month and up subscribers. It is designed for completing tasks with clear outcomes, with features such as a code execution environment with Internet access, a headless Chrome browser, a persistent file system shared between sessions, scheduled prompt automations, and more.

WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT FOUNDER-MARKET FIT

Founder-market fit is a big part of a startup's search for product-market fit. The most important factor is whether founders deeply care about the problem and how passionate they are. Experience is an obvious advantage, but it only counts when the passion is still there. When founders spend years on a problem, they come out knowing that space better than almost anyone else. This doesn't disappear with the outcome, and founders can take that experience with them into whatever comes next.

YOUR APP IS LOSING ITS GRIP ON YOUR CUSTOMERS

Product merit used to be closely tied to human usability, so developers created attractive interfaces and intuitive workflows. UI is still important for jobs where people operate the product directly, but agents will increasingly start operating every part of every product. This means over time, familiarity and learned workflows will exert less influence over whether customers stay. Businesses will have to earn their place in customers' workflows even when the customer no longer sees their interfaces. This changes what usability, differentiation, and loyalty mean.
