MIT RESEARCHERS’ NEW TECHNIQUE CAN 3D PRINT FURNITURE IN A FEW MINUTES USING LIQUID METAL
Liquid metal printing allows furniture and large-scale objects to be 3D printed quickly by using a predefined path for the liquid metal to snake through, followed by depositing molten aluminum. The liquid metal hardens and forms the 3D structure rapidly. MIT researchers affirm that the technique can print metal ten times faster than comparable metal additive manufacturing techniques.
