ETHER.FI REMOVES RESTAKING FROM WEETH, NEARING FULL EIGENLAYER EXIT

ether.fi has unbundled restaking from weETH, moving that exposure to a new Symbiotic-based token called weETHs, which holds just 9,136 tokens (~$18M) against weETH's 1.72 million token supply. Restaking exposure in weETH is now below 1%, with the protocol's TVL at $3.3B (down from a $12.43B August 2025 peak), and full EigenPod withdrawal credential removal is planned for Q4 2026. ETHFI fell 11.4% on the week and EIGEN dropped 20.8% monthly as liquid restaking sector TVL contracts from its $18.3B December 2024 peak following incentive reductions. EigenLayer's total holdings have declined from $22.06B to $5.10B, and CEO Mike Silagadze called it the "end of an era," stating restaking arrived prematurely.

VISA'S STABLECOIN STRATEGY: PROCUREMENT GATEWAY, NOT ISSUER

Visa's Head of Crypto Cuy Sheffield told Bloomberg Crypto that Visa isn't competing to issue stablecoins but wants to be the "procurement gateway" that brings banks onchain and the "acceptance layer" that makes issued stablecoins spendable. ROBINHOOD CHAIN'S DEX VOLUME FELL 72%, TX AND DEPOSITS SET RECORDS
