AGENTS STRUGGLE WITH THE SAME BAD UX WE DO
Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter
Computer-use AI agents frequently fail at the same confusing interfaces that frustrate humans, including ambiguous buttons, hidden menus, unexplained disabled states, and disruptive overlays. People often compensate for these problems by guessing, backtracking, or relying on experience, while agents expose the underlying design debt through repeatable failures that are easier to observe. Making interfaces clearer for agents through explicit labels, visible states, predictable interactions, and semantic structure can also improve accessibility and usability for people.
