The Counting House pattern adds AI to systems that handle large volumes of human work, notably customer service departments. It can be used to control and improve costs, quality, and human ramp-up time using comparatively cheap AI models. A Counting House uses classic data science and engineering to put lower-tier models on hardened rails to support human workflows. It allows teams to measure and report how well models do against their human counterparts.
