This post tells the story of what it was like at Salesforce after it acquired Slack. The cultural gaps between the two companies were evident. Slack had a tight-knit culture where humans would help each other, whereas Salesforce was a much larger company with systems and processes for things to get done. Slack's cognitive overhead was nothing compared to the overbearing weight of the Salesforce monolith.
