AWS Lambda Web Functions run standard Node.js HTTP servers without adapters, with each execution environment handling concurrent requests and streaming responses. In a sample run of 300 streaming requests with up to 200 open at once, five environments consumed 4.75 seconds of CPU. Billing covers active CPU, memory, and requests, so waiting on a database or API uses little CPU but still incurs other charges.
