OPEN USD GOES LIVE AS STRIPE'S DEFAULT STABLECOIN

Summary from the TLDR Crypto newsletter

Open USD (OUSD) is now live with 214 partners, up from the 140-plus announced in June. Stripe has also made OUSD on Tempo its default stablecoin while adding it to card issuing, letting card programs on Stripe spend directly from an OUSD balance. Tempo launched with over $400 million in liquidity, and partner cards already on the list include RedotPay, KAST, EtherFi, Plasma, and Bitget Wallet, plus nine Korean card companies. Unlike typical stablecoin structures, most OUSD yield goes to the partner apps holding the balance rather than to the issuer.
