There's no guaranteed relationship between software cost and value. While cost improvements are typically marginal and difficult, value improvements are game-changing. AI can produce a lot of work, but that doesn't mean that customers can absorb it. Businesses need to treat customer attention as the scarce resource it is and only ship the things that are truly valuable.
