CRYPTO'S FAIRSHAKE PAC COMMITS $30 MILLION AGAINST SHERROD BROWN
Summary from the TLDR Crypto newsletter
Fairshake is committing $30 million to an Ohio Senate race against former Sen. Sherrod Brown, its most aggressive midterm move yet, days after the Clarity Act failed its Senate procedural vote. The PAC spent $12 million in 2024 backing Republican Bernie Moreno, who defeated Brown, a past Senate Banking Committee chair who called for cracking down on crypto's use in terrorism financing. Crypto money has flowed since April to support Republican Sen. Jon Husted, who faces Brown in November and backed the GENIUS Act. Fairshake said it will announce more midterm spending decisions in the coming weeks, despite having also backed Democrats Ruben Gallego and Elissa Slotkin, both of whom voted against the Clarity Act.
