CUSTOM GPT RETIREMENT AND MIGRATION FAQ

Summary from the TLDR Marketing newsletter

OpenAI plans to retire custom GPTs and transition users to plugins across all ChatGPT plans. Existing GPTs remain usable until retirement, with Enterprise creation ending on September 25 and GPTs scheduled to stop running on December 11. Migration will turn GPT instructions into a plugin skill and connected apps into apps, but custom actions will need to be rebuilt separately. Migrated GPTs become read-only, and users should test the replacement before switching. Plugin access and sharing will depend on account and workspace permissions.
