Google has released two new speech-to-speech models similar to OpenAI's GPT-Live family. Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking are advanced live dialogue models with major upgrades in intelligence and parallel reasoning. They are more intuitive to collaborate with than previous models and can be used to execute complex tasks using voice prompts. Users can select a model and voice preset, enter an optional system prompt, and then start a voice conversation through their browser. The models can be interrupted while talking.
