There are at least two ways to have AI assist in programming: one is to use it to help understand and interact with the implementation, and the other aims to remove the need for that interaction altogether. These are different paths, so they require different tools and different approaches. The goal of someone using AI to further their understanding is not to become a vibecoder, and ceasing to read code isn't, in itself, progress.
