OpenAI has introduced a managed Agents API in public beta to help enterprises build custom AI agents with reduced infrastructure management and engineering complexity. The service hosts the underlying harness and allows developers to run agents in OpenAI-managed sandboxes, on their own infrastructure, or through supported providers.
