About 10% of webpages now show significant signs of AI authorship, rising to more than one-third of pages published since ChatGPT launched. AI-written content is also becoming easier to spot, with phrases, vocabulary, and punctuation associated with AI appearing more often across the web. The trend is strongest on .com sites, where AI authorship appears roughly 2X as often as on .org and 10X more than on .edu and .gov sites.
