SIP-5: OPT-IN QUANTUM RESISTANCE FOR ALL ACCOUNTS

Sei Network's SIP-5 proposal gives every account an opt-in path to quantum-secure cryptography, triggered if a credible quantum computing threat against ECDSA-based signatures emerges. The proposal leaves current account behavior unchanged while ensuring a defined migration route exists before any threat becomes critical. In parallel, the Sei team is developing new post-quantum signature schemes to reduce the performance overhead that current quantum-resistant algorithms carry.
