APPLE'S PHOTOS APP IS GETTING THREE NEW AI-POWERED EDITING TOOLS

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

iOS 27 introduces three AI-powered photo editing upgrades in the Photos app: a more capable Cleanup tool for removing unwanted objects, Extend for expanding a photo beyond its original frame using generative AI, and Reframe, which uses spatial data and AI to reposition subjects and adjust composition after the photo is taken. All three features are powered by Apple Intelligence and are expected to arrive later this year.
