This disaster was made worse by infrastructure flaws where backups were stored on the same volume and CLI tokens possessed excessive root permissions, allowing the agent to wipe both live data and backups in seconds. Thirty hours later, the platform remains down as the business is being forced to manually reconstruct its data from receipts and emails.
