PostHog has shipped four real products out of hackathons. Logs became one after someone ran the math on Datadog's bill and saw $260K a month. The rules are what make it work. Nothing from the roadmap, no sneaking regular work in, non-engineers participate. It treats hackathons the way most companies treat roadmap planning, which is why they actually produce companies.
