LITTLE BOXES MADE OF TICKY-TACKY

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

AI-generated interface design is increasingly producing polished but highly similar results because models are trained on the same datasets and patterns, leading to a “statistical average” of common UI elements. While this standardization works for simple use cases, meaningful and effective design for complex products still requires human insight, domain knowledge, and real-world observation to create solutions tailored to specific users and contexts.
