As AI reshapes content design roles, simply branding yourself a “generalist” may not be enough, since breadth without depth risks positioning you as a jack of all trades. Instead, the stronger survival strategy is becoming a “full-stack” (comb-shaped) content designer — someone with multiple content specialisms across research, strategy, writing, and operations — enabling adaptability, deeper value, and greater resilience in a changing job market.
