EIP-8141 FINALLY DELIVERS FULL ACCOUNT ABSTRACTION

EIP-8141 introduces “Frame Transactions,” a minimal but highly flexible design that enables batch operations, gas sponsorship, paymasters, privacy integrations, quantum-resistant signatures, and smart-account features directly at the protocol layer without intermediaries. The proposal formalizes validation and execution frames, supports sponsored transactions and private mempool interactions, and outlines conservative mempool rules to prevent abuse while expanding functionality over time. After nearly a decade of research since early account abstraction proposals, the upgrade could ship within a year as part of the Hegota fork.
