GOOGLE IS PREPARING A NEW ANDROID-BASED OPERATING SYSTEM CALLED ALUMINIUM OS

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

Google's Aluminium OS is an AI-focused PC operating system based on Android 17 with elements of Chrome OS. Planned for release in 2026, it will run on PCs, laptops, tablets, and mini-PCs. Aluminium will coexist with Chrome OS for some time. It may still launch under the Chrome OS name despite the internal codename.
