AT&T ROLLS OUT “WIRELESS LOCK” FEATURE TO BLOCK SIM SWAP ATTACKS

AT&T has announced a new “Wireless Lock” feature to protect users from SIM swap attacks. When the new feature is enabled, customers and employees will be unable to port the phone number to a new SIM card or transfer it to a new provider until the setting is disabled. Wireless Lock also protects certain billing information, authorized users, and phone numbers.
