APPLE'S NEW RESEARCH ROBOT TAKES A PAGE FROM PIXAR'S PLAYBOOK

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

Apple's research explored expressive movements in robotics, inspired by Pixar's Luxo Jr. lamp, to enhance human-robot interaction. It has created lamp-like robots that respond to queries with subtle motions, making interactions feel more natural. This aligns with Apple's rumored smart home robotics efforts, though the project is still in early stages.
