GOOGLE MAPS NOW DOES A BETTER JOB OF HIGHLIGHTING STAIRS

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

Google Maps has enhanced its walking directions by introducing prominent stair indicators represented as blue icons integrated into the route's dotted line. This update provides users with more precise information about stairs along their path, aiding in route planning. Stair indicators were previously less conspicuous, appearing only on the map layer and not within the directions overlay.
