rip is a safe and ergonomic alternative to rm with a simple interface and a focus on safety, ergonomics, and performance. It sends deleted files to the graveyard, giving developers a chance to recover them. rip doesn't overwrite any data - files that share the same path will be renamed as numbered backups.
