DESIGN FOR THE PEOPLE: THE US WEB DESIGN SYSTEM AND THE PUBLIC SANS TYPEFACE

Summary from the TLDR Design newsletter

Navigating government websites was a frustrating experience due to inconsistent designs and interfaces. The US Web Design System (USWDS) was developed to address this, providing a cohesive style guide and user interface components for federal sites. The custom typeface Public Sans also ensures clear and accessible typography, enhancing user experience across over 160 government websites.
